I have never had a problem with Lunarpages, and it has been almost a year. But just half an hour ago, the servers suddenly went down, and most frighteningly, their own homepage is not working. They say that they host 50,000 sites. Does this mean that all these websites are offline right now? Rather worried.

I've been using LunarPages for about 4 months now, and I have to say that I'm very displeased. Their phone "techs" don't know anything except how to ask basic questions out of a manual and then tell you that you'll have to email a server tech to get your problem resolved. I've has 2 issues in the past month, one of which took 2 weeks to resolve; the other is STILL pending resolution after A MONTH. And this morning, ALL of LunarPages goes down!!

This is the only spot online I've been able to find any information about Lunarpages' disappearance. Has anyone found anywhere else for information about what might be going on.

I haven't found anywhere else but here either. Searching diligently though... I'll let you all know if I find anything or if I get through to them on the phone. //I WANT MY EMAIL BACK!!!

Ok, so I've been calling them for about 15 minutes now. It's either been busy or going straight to the company's voicemail. Someone just answered after a few rings, however... I know a person picked up because I could hear the background noise, and then they HUNG UP. Customer service, my ass.

I'm not sure what's going on. But right now I'm rather pissed off. I have clients with them, I'm with them and I just finished working on a special area for my clients and now nothing.... I tried calling, busy signal. I just hope there is a "good" answer soon. And I might be checking into a new hosting company... I just want my site, my email and my clients sites back. (worried)

It's back now. It looks like it was down for about 3 hours today. I have to say, though -- I have 5 sites hosted on LunarPages for 3 years now and I'm very happy with them. There are very few outages and usually they warn us when they're about to do something that might cause problems. I would recommend LunarPages without any hesitation.

It is a DNS issue. I just visited their site via IP address and it came up fine. Something is wrong with the system that resolves names to the IP Addresses: http://216.193.194.188 This is worrisome. Sometimes it can take 2 to 3 days for DNS issues to resolve.

Well, I take that back. The site seems to be up and working fine now, as does mine. Hope I didn't cause undue grief.

I've been with LunarPages for over a year. I really like them as people, their support is great. However, I sometimes can't access my site and often it is slow. I don't know what the standard is, but it seems higher than this. I've seen people say their Lunarpages site has never gone down in 6 months and that sort of thing, but that doesn't make sense considering all the maintenance warnings that go out. I'm getting very nervous about this and starting to look around.

Bought extra bandwidth with Lunar Pages to be used when needed. Was supposed to be an add on in case it ever went over. Complaint Description: On December 29th I noticed that my web site was shut down because it went over bandwidth limits of 40 Gigs and was shut down. A few months ago I got obnoxious spams from lunar pages every few hours telling me I was about to go over the limit even though I was sure I was not going to. All of a sudden my site was shut down because "they said" I was over my bandwidth limit. When checking on line I saw that I was NOT over the bandwidth limit so I called in. I talked to tech support and I was told I that there WAS a mistake and my web site shouldn't have been taken down. I asked if there was anything I could do like put 5 gigs on credit for any future occurences and I was told that I could indeed do this so I did. On December 29th my web site was shut down because it went over the normal bandwidth. I immediately called and explained that I had extra bandwidth. I was told that no, I do not have extra, that the bandwidth I had purchased before was only "temporary" for that month. I told them of the conversation with tech support and told them that they made no mention of this. They said they were sorry. I then asked for a refund and they told me they had no way of giving a refund. They also havent refunded a add on domain that they mistakenly added on to the wrong domain. Also when haviing a problem with sending email with their server I called tech support and they didnt help, all they did was tell me I should send all mail using whatever service I use to connect to the internet. So much for them backing up a service!

Uptime is very important in my book. That is why I chose Lunar Pages, and in my 5 months with them, I have yet seen my web site go down. Good all around shared host, grade A.

Excellent web hosting service. GREAT support. I have had my website with Lunarpages for over a year now. I am on the standard plan, using about 15GB of bandwidth every month. I have never had any problems with them.

They shut down my site without any warnings because somebody thought that it was taking more CPU time than they planned. I lost time, customers, and credibility.
