I"m not sure what everyone's fuss is about. I've been with globat for 3 months, have never experienced any email or site downtime that i knew of. ONly propblem I've ever had with them is my phpbb troubles, but I'm not sure it's because of globat.

I've had my site with them for almost a year and all it has been is problems. Constant downtimes and slow server and database speed. Go somewhere else!

I have had a site with Globat for about 6 months now and I have only had one instance of downtime. Which I was notified of and was able to monitor my servers status through there network monitoring site. The downtime was due to a hardware failure. This downtime is the only problem I have ever had with globat and the downtime was less than a couple hours. Globats support system is one of the best I have ever seen for any company and I mean any. The live chat support is about the greatest thing I have ever used they have been able to answer tons of questions even with scripting and things not related to the services they provide. One incident they even scripted some html for me even after they explained what the problem was. So far I have had nothing but good luck with globat and what they provide for the price is outstanding the support alone is worth it. Note I use globat only for my personal site and I have only been doing web design for about 4 years on the side. The ammount of space, bandwidth, and email accounts Globat offers is unmatched. Tech support is friendly and helpful. All around awesome host.

I attempted to cancel my account one month ago, was given a confirmation # but they have never refunded my money or responded by email requests. Their live chat person disconnected after I told him I did not want to stay with globat and just wanted my money back as stated in their policy (15 days guaranteed). They are crooks! Stay away!

I have had extensive problems with this hosting company. One of the websites that I admin is hosted through Globat. It is a phpnuke site backed by a MySQL database. Typical load times for a page is/was 15+ seconds. Globat refused to believe it is/was an issue with their server. I mirrored the site onto another web host's server and the performance difference was amazing. At this point Globat realized it was an issue with their server. After almost two weeks the site was still crawling. Globat has refused a refund. I have filed complaints with agencies in an attempt to settle this issue. I have accounts with other webhosts and can honestly say Globat's performance is by far the poorest. As for hosting basic sites the company may provide a good service. However, They advertised PHP and MySQL as part of their package. The level of performance associated with CMS's utilizing these tools is, as stated earlier, extremely poor.
